This role will be the Product Marketing Manager for a fintech at a pivotal time in the business's journey. You’ll be joining a dynamic team of seasoned business, marketing, product and development professionals, as they take the product that they’ve just launched to scale. We can’t lie, being in a start-up is hard, there are going to be long hours, job roles will evolve, and you will be asked to learn and grow with the business. The role
You will be responsible for supporting the Head of Creative & Performance Marketing in delivering on the business’ growth targets by executing a marketing plan that will drive the usage of new and existing product features. You will also be responsible for the evaluation and optimisation of this marketing plan. You will work closely with the Product Team to understand new product features so that you can develop compelling value propositions/USPs and market the offerings effectively.

Core Responsibilities
Market intelligence—be the expert on our customers, who are they, how they transact and their key needs.
Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
Collaborate with product management and marketing communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with the target customer segment.
Develop a marketing plan that will drive usage amongst existing and new customers, of the product features you support, in conjunction with our marketing team.
Assess the effectiveness of the marketing plans that support your product features on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.
Plan the launches of net-new features and updates to existing features, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
Act as the primary thought leader for the products you support externally, including speaking engagements and written works.
Understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it.
Collaborate with Product and Marketing leads to define, manage and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new and existing product initiatives and features.
Spearhead new product and feature launches by defining the audience types, product positioning, communication architecture, and launch plans.
Work with the Finance and Product teams to set pricing that aligns to the product value proposition and with our users' success
Requirements
5+ years of product marketing experience with at least 2 years of experience in a market-facing role (e.g. delivering presentations to customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis and market research)
Excellent project management skills with solid experience in agency briefing & creative review.
Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Trello, Slack etc.
Familiar with marketing automation tools such as Firebase & Mixpanel
Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working
Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties. Team player!
Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing.
