Product Specialist at Epiroc

Main Responsibilities Or Functions Of Job
 

• Support Bathopele on Epiroc contractual equipment
• Complete documentation (Legal and Safety) as required by the Customer and Contract Manager
• Attend meetings as required
• Conduct audits on Epiroc equipment as required
• Follow-up (expediting) of audits and orders
• Fault Finding and trouble shooting
• Technical assistance and coaching of Customer technicians
• Assess Technician and operator practices and submit reports
• Conduct operator and maintenance training as and when required
• Service schedules for all vehicles in your area in cooperation with the planner
• Build strong relationships with our customers
• Participate and initiate ongoing Productivity and efficiency improvement projects with Epiroc working environment
• Communications within different departments
• Assist Planner and Contract Manager with stock keeping and stock level management
• Enforce and practice Epiroc procedures and policies as described in “The Epiroc Way”
• Total Epiroc Product support regarding Maintenance and Performance functions
• Training and coaching of Customer service technicians
• Pre-delivery service, some in workshop and on site
• Commissioning of equipment - surface and underground
• Reports on all Epiroc machines within area of responsibility
• Customer interaction
• Customer activity/prospects
• Customer sales
• Promotion of Epiroc services and product
• Communication with the Contract Manager, on an ongoing basis, of your movements

Education And Experience

• Technical background
• Excellent product knowledge
• Product knowledge on the following will be an advantage – RCS systems, Hydraulic experience, 24V Electrical experience
• Willingness and ability to do ongoing self training
• Computer literacy
• Good customer relations
• Good telephone manners and skills
• Interpersonal skills to work with customers and suppliers and to work as part of the Product Support team
• Selling skills
• Be able to work independently without supervision
• ETDP qualifications preferential
• Be presentable to customers in grooming and dress code
• Must be fit for underground, no criminal record
• Educational Qualification: Technical qualification (Trade Test)
