Production Manager - Germiston at Tiger Brands

JOB DESCRIPTION

• To manufacture cost effective quality product on time to be loaded onto the vehicles on time to enable the salesmen to departure on time 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the maintenance program is adhere to in conjunction with the maintenance manager
• Ensure that the plant is available for maintenance through planned stoppages
• Ensure equipment is producing quality products through performing up to the manufacturer’s specifications
•  Ensure all equipment installed on the site is done up to standard and in line with processing requirements enhancing the process flow
• Priorities orders and do the baking plan. Production Plan
• Ensure safe working practices
• Ensure most cost effective processing (Processing Cost)
• Ensure wage cost is achieved
• Ensure most cost effective maintenance cost trough GMP by not abusing the equipment
• Ensure suppliers is supplying cost effective quality ingredients
•  Manage inventory (Stores),Do the MRP
• Establish annual production budget requirements 
• Establish annual capex budget requirements (Strategy)
• Train the work force 
• Manage HR function in the Production  dept. (HR) 
• Manage all contractors which enters the property
• People development
• Communication 
• OIM Process
• Quality
• Safety
• Implement GMP’s
• Achieve standard and targets
• Plant synchronisation
•  Load and despatch product on time
•  Despatch reconciliation’s
• Ensure hygiene and house keeping standards is Adhere to.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Matric
• Chamber of baking certificate
• Baking Qualification
•  Industrial Relations knowledge
• Computer literate
• 5 Years experience in FMCG 
• At least  2  Years in supervisory capacity
