Professional Nurse at Joint Medical Holdings

PURPOSE OF POSITION

• Understands and support the mission, vision and values of the organisation. Promote the health, welfare and safety of all patients in the origination.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Work strictly within the SANC defined Scope of Practice. (R686 and R2598)
• You must be able to practice within your scope of practice as a Registered nurse.
• Must be competent with the hospital's Policies and Regulations
• Ability to lead and supervise staff
• Attend to patient care within the Ward
• Adhere to legal, health, safety, infection control and clinical standards.
• Participate in quality improvement, risk management, and resource management.
• Provide supervision, guidance and support to staff within the unit.
• Attend to patient's complaints.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

(Educational Qualifications & Experience)

• Registered with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse.
• Good interpersonal skills with doctors, patients and colleagues is essential.
• Preferably have two or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to workday and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays and adapt to working in other areas of the hospital when needed.
• Must possess excellent inter-personal skills.
• Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision.
