Professional Officer - Project and Finance Support
Demonstrable experience in Corporate Reporting and Dashboards,
SAP Production, SAP project management systems and SAP CRMS contract register & monitoring;
Demonstrate experience in contract administration and the contract management framework; and
Be computer literate and have a minimum intermediate proficiency level of skill in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project Suite, SharePoint.
Key Performance Areas
Application of specialist knowledge in ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and accounting best practice in processes and procedures (including authorisation & delegations);
Liaising between the Branch and various internal stakeholders on the implementation of financial/accounting processes and procedures;
Conducting research and internal financial investigations;
Reporting on the control, and financial risk management functions within the Branch;
Specialist advice inter alia, guiding and assisting Manager: Urban
Development implementation /Project Managers / Senior Project
Managers / Programme Managers with activities required for the financial year-end procedure in accordance with corporate processes and national guidelines;
Responsible for the Branch’s oversight of the operating, grants and capital expenditure against budget, budgetary control and administrative support tasks for the Branch; and
Accountable for decisions taken on operational matters within the relevant legislation governing financial matters, Council resolutions, policies and procedures.
Operate and be accountable for decisions taken within the relevant standing delegations as approved by Council.
