Relevant undergraduate degree in either of the fields mentioned above.
At least 10 years teaching experience in a tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field.
At least 15 articles published in accredited journals, chapters in a book or book publication.
Evidence of supervision of at least four Masters/ Doctoral students to completion.
Evidence of current grant funding or other third-stream income from external sources and NRF rating will be an added advantage.
Associate Professor
Doctoral degree in Mercantile or Private Law.

Duties
Teach undergraduate modules in any of two of the following: Business and Corporate Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Administration of Estates, International Trade Law, Intellectual Property Law, Information and Communications Technology Law, Competition Law.
Teach and supervise postgraduate students in the Department of Mercantile Law and Private Law.
Demonstrate exemplary leadership in the Department of Mercantile and Private Law.
Conduct individual and collaborative research and attract grant funding and other third-stream income on behalf of the department and the School of Law.
Coordinate programmes, develop the curriculum and establish linkages with other academic institutions, community structures and be actively involved in community engagement initiatives.
