    Senior Lecturer/Lecturer/Junior Lecturer - (1423)

    REQUIREMEMNTS

    Senior Lecturer

    • Doctoral degree in Nursing Science
    • Five (05) years Teaching Integrated Clinical Nursing experience in an institution of higher learning or Seven (7) years professional experience working in General wards.
    • Nursing Education
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nurse Educator is compulsory.
    •  Five (5) publications in a peer-reviewed journal, chapter in a book, or book publication.
    • Evidence of supervision of at least five (5) postgraduate students at the Honors level.

    Lecturer

    • Master’s degree in nursing science

    Duties:

    REQUIREMENTS:

    ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

    • Doctoral Degree in Law
    • At least 10 years teaching experience in tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field
    • At least 10 articles published in accredited journals, chapters in a book and book publication
    • Evidence of supervision of at least 4 Masters/Doctoral students
    • Knowledge and expertise in the field of public law, including procedural law is an added advantage

    • To demonstrate exemplary leadership in the Department of Public Law

    SENIOR LECTURER

    Academic route:

    • Doctoral degree in Public Law
    • Five years teaching experience in a higher education institution or seven years relevant professional experience.
    • Three publications in public law in accredited journals or book chapters or a book.

    Professional route:

    • Master of Laws degree coupled with an admission as an attorney or advocate.
    • Proof of Admission as an Attorney or Proof of Admission as Advocates including proof of admission into the pupillage.
    • Candidate should also have ten (10) years post admission practice experience. Candidates appointed through the professional route will be appointed on a five-year contract basis with the provision that the appointment will be converted to permanent upon attainment of a Doctoral degree within the five-year period of appointment.

    Requirements:

    Professor

    • Doctoral degree in Mercantile or Private Law.
    • Relevant undergraduate degree in either of the fields mentioned above.
    • At least 10 years teaching experience in a tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field.
    • At least 15 articles published in accredited journals, chapters in a book or book publication.
    • Evidence of supervision of at least four Masters/ Doctoral students to completion.
    • Evidence of current grant funding or other third-stream income from external sources and NRF rating will be an added advantage.

    Associate Professor

    • Doctoral degree in Mercantile or Private Law.

    Duties: The candidate is expected to teach the following modules: 

    • Financial Management and Advanced Information Systems and/or Data Science (Data Analytics and Digital Technologies) in the Department of Accountancy at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels in accordance with the requirements of syllabi by presenting lectures, tutorials and practical’s and assisting students with academic problems.
    • With regard to the Data Analytics and Digital Skills module, the incumbent will be expected to: develop and teach courses on digital competencies; keep up to date with the latest developments in the field of Data Science and incorporate new knowledge and best practices into teaching materials; and collaborate with other lecturers in the department to ensure the curriculum is aligned with the SAICA competency framework, the industry needs and trends.
