    Programme Coordinator (VMMC)

    Key Performance Indicators 

    • Ensure smooth running of the program in the City of Cape Town.
    • Ensure efficient MMC service delivery through continuous support to all MMC Fixed, outreach and mobile sites.
    • Capacity building and identification of training needs to ensure maximum performance.
    • Supervise and support the entire MMC clinical staff and ensure adherence to RTC and DOH ethics and policies. 
    • Manage and support Clinical and Demand Creation Staff.
    • Monitor team performance in line with the allocated targets.
    • Visit each site and district monthly to ensure smooth operations and to identify and address any challenges faced.
    • Align demand creation and clinical efforts to ensure collaboration in working towards targets.
    • Manage and support Right to Care’s Sub-recipient in the City of Cape Town and hold them accountable on contractual agreement. 
    • Serve as first point of contact to Districts VMMC sites for logistics, supply, transport, demand and other relevant challenges.
    • Coordinate locums and transport for all MMC MOVE and demand Creation teams.
    • Ensure the availability and consistence supply of consumables and VMMC Kits to all supported teams.

    Support and coordinate all TMI activities in the supported districts 

    • Provide support to sites to ensure internal QA teams are established and regular assessments take place.
    • Ensure Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) are drafted at sites and gaps are addressed timeously and report persisting gaps 
    • Work with sites to ensure timely and adequate responses to QA assessments
    • Participate in internal and external quality assurance assessments and assist the sites with quality improvement activities in response to QA results
    • Develop and implement planning and reporting systems for the VMMC MOVE teams to ensure that they perform and reach allocated targets
    • Ensure timely program updates to Department of Health (DoH) in all districts
    • Ensure weekly and monthly reporting by sub-recipient
    • Keep record of all district assets including vehicles
    • Ensure submission of program reports as per stipulated timely
    • Conduct and record weekly and monthly asset/vehicle inspection/verification 
    • Report all incidents including loss of any asset/vehicle timeously
    • Ensure monitoring of fleet cards and report any mismanagement
    • Key stakeholder engagement including participation at District/Provincial Hast Activities.
    • Ensure Training and mentorship of all DOH district staff on MMC program. 
    • Ensure Organizational representation in all Districts activities. 
    • Participate in Districts and Provincial Hast Meetings to ensure alignment of the VMMC program with district activities.

    Requirements

    Required Minimum Qualifications: 

    • Nursing Degree or equivalent preferred

    Desirable Qualifications 

    • Nursing Degree or equivalent preferred

     Required Minimum Experience

    •  2 years’ experience in Public Health 
    •  Experience working in high-volume medical male circumcision service provision preferred 

     Desirable Experience

    •  Prior experience working with NGOs desirable 
    • Knowledge of male circumcision, infection prevention and other relevant clinical issues 
    • Knowledge of health communication and demand creation strategies 
    • Ability to take initiative, plan and monitor activity flow and outcomes 
    • Capacity to manage difficult working situations 
    • Ability to analyze, interpret and solve difficult problems 
    • Capacity to work under pressure in achieving set goals/objectives 
    • Computer Literate.
