Project Administrator - Cape Town, Pretoria or Durban
A relevant post-matric qualification in fields such as Office Administration/ Public Administration/ Management or Administration will be advantageous.
Five years’’ experience in a similar environment.
A proven track record, and significant knowledge and understanding administrative best practices.
Personal credibility.
Advanced computer literacy/proficiency across the MS Office suite.
Strong administrative experience in research or similar environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
Provide efficient administrative and organizational support to projects in the Impact Centre
Prepare meeting agendas and materials for meetings; minute taking and record keeping of proceedings;
Organize and manage all events details such as catering, transportation, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material for the Projects
Maintain project databases and file project related documents and keep databases;
Maintain assets database for the project and ensure that assets for the project are properly managed;
Ensure compliance with all admin and finance policies of the HSRC;
Manage Supply Chain Management requests for the project
Assist with logistical responsibilities including post, courier, office management, reception of visitors;
Facilitate printing, equipment and other project requirements;
In delivering ‘social science that makes a difference’, the Human Sciences Research Council initiates and undertakes policy-oriented research projects and programmes from its offices in Cape Town, Durban, and Pretoria. Its public-purpose mandate is set out in the Human Sciences Research Council Act of 2008.
Ensure that time billing is up to date for staff assigned to the projects;
Process claims and payments;
Facilitate travel arrangements for researchers and other employees for the projects where assistance is requested and project-based travel when required.
Assist in preparing quarterly reports on the project.
