• The Redheads Group requires the services of a Project Cost Controller for their offices in Pretoria.

Responsibilities and accountabilities

• Support the compilation of a financial budget during the tender phase of a project.
• Ensure compliance with all control processes in compliance with Redheads Engineering procedures and project requirements.
• Prepare, monitor & report on project commercial status and forecasts for active projects.
• Review & action purchase order & invoicing requirements specific to active projects.
• Promote a strong culture of internal controls & best practices throughout the project teams.
• Contribute to the improvement of financial processes, procedures and internal controls for the projects.
• Assist with preparation of end of month project commercial reports identifying key highlights or anomalies.
• Manage the tracking & reporting on Change Management, Engineering Change Requests and Variance
• Orders both upstream & downstream.
• Give input into and managing the project WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) in support of the planner/scheduler.

Requirements

Qualifications: 

• Diploma or degree in Business Administration.
• Project Management training based on PMBOK principles.

Experience: 

• 5+ years as a Cost Controller or Commercial Administrator on EPCM or EPC
• projects within the heavy construction or mining and minerals processing industries.
• Cost estimation, budgeting and cost control on large projects.

Knowledge: 

• Knowledge in the application of PMBOK monitoring and control process groups.
• Knowledge in the use of Autodesk Construction Cloud will be advantageous.

Skills: 

•  Expert level use of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint applications.
• Analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills as applied to a project environment.
• Excellent skills in written and verbal communication using English as a business language.
• Organisation skills to handle large volumes of project administration information within a cloud data environment like SharePoint and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Proven skills with the use of Power BI will be advantageous.
• Ability to speak German and/or Dutch will be advantageous
