Project Manager (x12 month Fixed Term Contract) at IDC

Job Description

• To lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic and operational projects, ensuring alignment to organisational priorities. The role is responsible for delivering projects within scope, time, cost, and quality, while coordinating cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders.

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree (Business, IT, Engineering or equivalent)
• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent)
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years’ project management experience, including at least 3 years managing complex, cross-functional projects in a corporate or development finance environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, closure and benefits realisation.
• Proven experience in developing and managing project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, dependencies and change controls.
• Experience implementing project governance frameworks and preparing project reports, dashboards and decision-support information for senior management and governance forums.
• Proven stakeholder management experience, including coordinating multidisciplinary teams, service providers and senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of recognised project management methodologies and standards, including PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile or hybrid delivery approaches.
• Sound knowledge of project governance, financial management, risk and issue management, quality management, procurement and change management.
• Skills: Advanced project planning, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, facilitation, negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in project management and reporting tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and dashboard applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex project information clearly to executive and governance audiences.
