    Public Relations Specialist

    Position Summary

Perfection is at the heart of what we do and our people are always looking for the next big idea to cement our status. We’re now looking for a Public Relations Specialist based in Bryanston.
    In this role you will be responsible for creating, planning and executing Public Relations strategies in order to maintain and enhance the perception of Nestle corporate initiatives and its product brands among various internal and external audiences.  Implement the corresponding tactics including events, social media, media relations and employee communication.
     

    A day in the life of...

    A Public Relations Specialist

    • Working cross functionally and collaboratively formulate PR Plans and strategies via different online and traditional media channels and execute against them across the ESAR countries (South Africa, Mozambique, Kenya, Mauritius, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe)                

    • Write press releases, speeches and other PR copy across the ESAR Countries (SA, Kenya, Mozambique, Mauritius, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe) and ensure that all communication is cohesive with brand image                 

    • Build and maintain key internal (corporate and brand across ESAR) and external (agencies and supplier) relationships and implement agreed ways of working to ensure delivery of all corporate and brand plans                

    • Manage influencer marketing scope and working with appointed agency ensure planning, execution and measurement                 

    • Manage and organise budgeting system and reporting of ROI results to stakeholders (weekly, monthly, quarterly)                

    • Maintain all records in a safe manner and easy accessibility for future enquiries- drives compliance in ways of working         

    What will make you successful

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related field

    • 3-4 years of experience in Public Relations or Corporate Communication

    • Excellent writing skills 

    • Strong Stakeholder Relationship Management skills 

    • Self Management

    • Strong presentation skills

    • Flexibility and adaptability

    • Responds well under pressure with strict time limit

    • Ability to manage ambiguity

    • Strong influencing, negotiating and decision making skills

    • Team player who is willing to work cross-functionally

    • Approachability and conflict management skills

    • Entrepreneurial mindset (creative thinking and innovation)
