QA Monitor X3 at Rainbow Chicken

Role Purpose:

• To ensure adherence to Rainbow’s Total Integrated Management System.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 12 with Mathematics & Science, preferably studying towards a Quality qualification, e.g. Food Tech Diploma, Bio Tech Diploma, Environmental Health, etc.
• Poultry Meat Examiners/Inspectors Certificate.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ relevant QC/QAM experience in a Poultry environment.
• Previous stores experience would be an advantage.

Required Knowledge and Skills: 

• High literacy and Mathematical Skills.
• SAP Knowledge and experience.
• Computer literacy will be an advantage.
• Have good interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
• Verbal and written communication.
• High integrity and Assertiveness.
• Ability to work shifts and flexible hours (overtime, weekends, Public Holiday).
• Physically fit and able to work in a cold environment.
• Clean Criminal record.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor online quality by observation of online practices and completion of necessary check sheets. Conduct observations and tests on poultry products to ensure that specifications are met in terms of pick-ups, operator working instructions’ parameters and machine setting parameters.
• Report deviations and advises of the necessary corrective actions to Processing and Engineering when required.
• Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions and escalates to higher authority if not actioned.
• Observes that employees on the line adhere to ISO, GMP and HACCP practices and advises on necessary corrective action required when contravened.
• Monitor and ensures adherence to contractual customer specific regulatory and internal requirements as per specifications
• Practice good housekeeping in their areas of work.
• Inspection and Analysis of ingredients and Packaging material and other incoming raw material in order to verify non- conformances.
• Maintain material specification file.
• Conducting Packaging trials and conduct all QA related SAP transactions.
• COA & COC reports. General Lab Analysis.
• Conducting weekly and monthly reports and communication and medium preparation.
• Working with all lab equipment.
