QC Lab in Service Trainee at The South African Breweries (SAB)

Job Summary 

To key purpose of the role is to support the SAB Hop Farms Quality Control laboratory in providing service to the value chain.

Key roles and responsibilities:

• Maintain equipment & workplace
• Collect and analyze samples
• Support the value chain
• Report and analyze results
• Problem solve non-conformances
• Comply with AB-InBev VPO work practices
• Work with and in diverse teams

Profile:

• National Diploma as per study fields in the profile or final year student required to do Work Integrated Learning (WIL)
• National Diploma: Chemistry/Food Science/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology or equivalent (all subjects completed) - NB: Plant Science will serve as an added advantage
• Ability to utilize computer programs (Microsoft Office) extensively
• Analytical ability (e.g. Distillation, HPLC, Spectrophotometry and Chromatography)
• Communication and interpersonal skills
