Minimum Requirements    

• National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology, or Biotechnology (NQF Level 7).
• 10+ years in food safety, quality control and assurance.
• 5+ years Cereal and grain milling (Wheat, Maize)
• 5+ years management experience.
• Proven experience in audit leadership and management system implementation.
• Accountability, Integrity, Decision-Making
• Project Management, Technical Expertise, Cross-functional Awareness
• Leadership in Change Management and Building Effective Teams

Duties & Responsibilities    
Lead & Inspire:

• Champion a culture of quality and safety across teams.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing QFS team.
• Drive engagement and performance through coaching and communication.

Ensure Compliance Excellence:

• Oversee ISO (9001, 17025), FSSC22000 and regulatory compliance.
• Lead internal and external audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Maintain certifications and elevate QFS standards.

Drive Strategy & Innovation:

• Align QFS initiatives with business goals.
• Contribute to cost-saving strategies and policy development.
• Lead continuous improvement and risk management projects.

Be the Technical Expert:

• Provide legal, technical, and advisory support.
• Develop training materials and policy manuals.
• Represent QFS in cross-functional committees.

Manage Supplier & Incident Protocols:

• Ensure supplier compliance and performance.
• Maintain accurate incident records and drive timely resolutions.
