    Quality Assurance Lead

    Quality Assurance: Work closely with Product Owners to understand release scope and define adequate testing coverage; assist Quality Assurance manager to define release criteria and release schedules, file and schedule QA release backlog items; monitor and report release status as per PPM QA process; participate actively in the entire software development life cycle. Develop quality standards through participation in initial software development stages. Analyze and test software to ensure that products are fit for purpose and are within total quality management limits and standards. Test software in later stages of development for reliability and accuracy. Document test processes and outcomes. Communicate with product owners, product developers and technical support specialists on software issues. Analyze data and communicate test results with multiple levels of the PPM organization. Create and execute automated and manual procedures and test scenarios based on software architecture. May include consulting and training. May develop customized test procedures for the organization’s products. Accurately documenting testing activities and outcomes.

    • Industrial Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technically complex support issues. Interact with product owners, product development and quality assurance teams to give feedback, discuss design issues, investigate problems, and develop solutions to meet the technological needs of end users. Develops technical documents, instructions, and training for internal and external customers. Possess in-depth knowledge of information management field. May also directly assist clients on escalated support tickets for highly complex technical issues when first-line product support teams have not succeeded in isolating and resolving issue. Interpersonal skills; adept at solving internal and external customer situations. Accurately documenting activities and outcomes.
    • This role is primarily focused on the quality assurance aspect, but may include some industrial support aspects.


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, with 5+ years of related industrial or quality control testing experience.

    Skills

    • Skill set should include direct experience in software testing, scripting, and how to manually test software for bugs. Leadership and coordination capabilities would be valued. The applicant must have a working knowledge of Windows OS, database concepts, and Agile software development methodology (scrum).
