Quality Controller at Hire Resolve

Job Description

• We are seeking a detail-driven Quality Controller to join a food manufacturing environment.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring incoming raw materials, ingredients and packaging meet the required quality, safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw spices, liquid ingredients and packaging materials.
• Conduct vehicle and delivery audits before offloading.
• Verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs), Certificates of Conformance (COCs) and supplier documentation.
• Collect samples and conduct basic quality tests, including pH and moisture testing.
• Perform sensory assessments of taste, colour and aroma.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials.
• Maintain accurate quality and traceability records.
• Coordinate supplier returns, product holds and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12.
• National Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or Quality Control is preferred.
• 1–3 years' experience in a food,  or FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMP, GLP and HACCP principles.
• Basic computer literacy, including Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
