Quality Specialist - Automotive Aftermarket - Midrand at Bosch Holdings (Pty) Ltd

Job Description

• Support on technical level during Purchasing Project Management (e.g. scouting)
• Conduct supplier visits and process assessments (e.g. VDA6.3 process audit, CSR quick-scan, Line walks etc.)
• Close cooperation with Product responsible Manager and Purchasing Manager
• Purchasing quality assurance activities such as product re-qualification
• Supplier development, -enabling and -escalation management
• Technical supplier Discussion during project stages
• Management of engineering changes and supplier initiated change requests
• Product Development and Release by deriving preventive quality planning and Production Part Approval Process
• Supplier releases and coordination of Quality Assurance Agreement with source partner
• Complaint management by 8D problem solving on customer and supplier complaints
• Creation of Incoming Inspection Plan for outsources products
• Supplier monitoring (e.g. External Defect Costs and PPM tracking)
• Warehouse area supervision and support

Qualifications

Education:

• Higher Certificate
• Degree in Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering or related field
•  Know in quality core tools (FMEA, APQP, CP, MSA, SPC, PPAP, Process flow, Standard Work, 5S, 14Q, PS, CIP)
• VDA6.3 Auditor qualification would be advantageous
• Project Management Certificate added advantage

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in the automotive quality department
• Working with external suppliers
• High level of time and  project management
• Management of suppliers

Skills:

• Excellence in MS Office package (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI)
• Good knowledge of SAP system
