    Regional Director: Cape Winelands Overberg, Ref No. DSD 47/2025

    Job Purpose

    • The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government (WCG) has an exciting employment opportunity for a suitable individual who would like to make a difference in the lives of the citizens by ensuring the implementation of social welfare and community development services within the regions.
    • This post is stationed in Worcester.

    Minimum Requirements

    • An appropriate 3-year B-degree/ Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) or higher qualification as recognised by SAQA
    • A minimum of 5 years relevant middle/senior management level experience
    • Completion of Certificate for entry into the SMS (Senior Management Service) upon appointment.

    Recommendation

    • A valid driving licence/ Alternative mode of transport for a person with disabilities.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Oversee the Management of the implementation of the following programmes within the region: Special Programmes
    • Families and Children Programmes
    • Social Crime Prevention Programmes
    • Community Development Programmes
    • Oversee the district business planning, information management and stakeholder management within the region
    • Oversee regional level corporate service which include: People Management and Financial Management.

    Competencies

    • Extensive knowledge of applicable policies and procedures: Educational environment

    Remuneration

    • All inclusive salary package of R 1 216 824 per annum (Salary Level 13)
