    Regional Manager

    Purpose:

    • To be successful in this role, the person should have a solid background in the Telecommunications and Financial
    •  Services industry and a good understanding of the relevant technical equipment and software. They should also have excellent communication, customer service, sales, and problem-solving skills. They should be able to work independently and as part of a team and manage their work progress according to the schedule. The objective of this role is to also put the customer at the heart of all operational activities, focusing on channel optimization and performance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
    • Lead a team of sales professionals
    • General providing guidance, coaching, and performance management
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives
    • Collaborate with channel partners to optimize distribution and reach
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences
    • Product Portfolio Management
    • Oversee the performance of various projects within your region
    • Monitor product adoption, identify growth opportunities, and address any challenges
    • Work closely with product teams to enhance offerings and meet customer needs.
    • Drive sales across multiple channels such as Branded and Unbranded Retail; Third-Party Distributors and Business Direct
    • Ensure stock availability in all stores
    • Market Intelligence, use market insights to refine sales strategies and adapt to changing market dynamics
    • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams
    • Represent Client at industry events and conferences
    • Ensure customer and market growth including but not limited to Device insurance (Prepaid, Postpaid, New & Upgrade) 
    • Ensure customer and market growth including but not limited to Personal Lending including personal loans and Business Lending including Business Term Advance and Business Cash Advance
    • Ensure customer and market growth including but not limited to Terminal sales
    • Train, mentor and assist regional, distributor and retail sales force with new products
    • Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance
    • Maintain accurate records of all call-, sales- and activity reports. These are to be submitted weekly to line management or through prescribed system
    • Proactive engagement with clients and the market with a view to growing awareness and visibility of products and capabilities
    • Manage performance across all products in the branded- & unbranded retail channels & third-party distribution channels by fostering business relationships to increase revenue from sales and client retention.
    • Analysis of the fulfilment process to identify process gaps that have revenue opportunities, cost threats or a churn risk that require an intervention
    • Manage contact list of all Branded / Unbranded; General / Partner stores & Third-party distributors and staff.
    • Collaboration with Other Departments, such as: Product Managers: To align sales efforts with product strategies; Marketing Teams: To coordinate promotional activities; Finance Teams: For budgeting and financial planning; Human Resources: For talent acquisition and development
    • Matrix Reporting. In addition to the direct reporting line, the Regional Manager will engage in matrix reporting. This involves collaborating with other regional managers, business unit heads, and General cross-functional teams
    • The Regional Manager may lead a team of sales professionals, including Regional Service Consultants
    • Key performance indicators include but are not limited to grow payments turnover; grow insurance base; grow lending disbursements

    Requirements: 

    • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (master's preferred)
    • Proven experience in sales leadership, preferably in financial services or technology
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Ability to travel within the region as required

    • Strong understanding of Sales processes
    • Business analysis
    • Understanding of Direct Sales
    • Fundamentals of Project Management is essential
    •  Understanding of the CVM (Customer Value Management)
    • Strong knowledge of the Telecommunications industry
    • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
    • Prioritization and Time Management
    • Trend analyses to enable business improvement
