    Regional Medical Area Manager

    A Day in the Life

    •  Ready to lead a team at the forefront of medical expertise and brand advocacy? As a Regional Medical Area Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping healthcare professional perceptions and driving product adoption in the dermocosmetics environment. You'll be a strategic leader, a people developer, and a scientific expert, ensuring your team delivers excellence in medical detailing and builds strong relationships dermatologists, GPs, Paediatricians, pharmacists and other key healthcare professionals as well as with key opinion leaders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Medical Strategy Implementation & Performance Analysis:

    • Roll out and ensure operational monitoring of the regional medical strategy.
    • Implement an action plan in line with brand strategy and medical detailing strategy.
    • Analyze quantitative and qualitative dashboards: interpreting results, circulating information, implementing corrective action, and following up on activity.
    • Roll out the dispensing strategy in the field.
    • Allocate resources while optimizing ROI.

    Team Leadership & Development:

    • Manage and drive the team in line with medical detailing’s strategy of excellence.
    • Organize, coordinate, manage and motivate the team.
    • Guide professional development monitoring of medical representatives: continuous assessment of scientific, product and regulatory knowledge and proficiency in communication techniques and tools (CRM/CLM platform).
    • Monitor and drive the team’s action plans at the area level.

    Medical Relations & KOL Engagement:

    • Develop local medical relations initiatives to drive scientific credibility with HCPs.
    • Identify local KOLs and propose them to Medical Relations Manager.
    • Monitor professional relations with KOLs and institutional partners.
    • Coordinate the organization and participation in congresses.

    Collaboration & Communication:

    • Ensure links and collaboration with headquarter-based teams (marketing, medical relations, medical communications, sales, digital, etc.)
    • Ensure synergy with commercial teams to increase sell-out.
    • Ensure competitive and environmental monitoring related to medical activity and feed it back up to headquarters.
    • Ensure training and respect of both internal and external ethical standards regarding relations with health professionals.

    Qualifications:

    • PhD, MSc or BSc degree in related scientific field or related studies such as pharmacy degrees
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in Medical Sales, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role, preferably within the dermatology or dermocosmetics  sectors.
    • Proven experience working with a diverse portfolio of brands and adapting strategies to different retail environments.
