    Regional Operations Manager (WS 24/26 Re-Advertisement)

    Requirements

    • A minimum of a BTech in Civil Engineering.
    • Registered as a Professional Engineering Technologist/ Engineer with ECSA.
    • At least eight (8) years’ appropriate experience.
    • Knowledge of Strategy and policy development; Financial management control and budgeting; Local government related legislation and policies & Water and Sanitation industry.
    • Water and Sanitation municipal experience would be advantageous.
    • A valid driver’s licence.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Managing the City-Wide Water Reticulation Networks.
    • Managing the effective expansion and development in Region regarding Water Services.
    • Managing the maintenance of water infrastructure, by providing effective operations, maintenance, timeous rehabilitation and upgrade of the water infrastructure.
    • Managing the capital and operating budgets for the region in accordance with legislation, City policy and procedures.
    • Managing the maintenance and control of all fixed and moveable assets of the Region.
    • Managing the quality, distribution and control of potable and recycled water.
    • Ensuring compliance with the Water Service Act, applicable legislation and the Water Service Customer Charter.
    • Managing Human Resource: Optimising staff performance by aligning and monitoring key performance areas.
    • Managing communication between internal and external stakeholders (including politicians, Officials and Service providers).
    • Applying good governance principles across the business Unit.
