    Regulatory Project Manager

    THE ROLE

    Bizmod Consulting is looking for senior Regulatory Project Manager candidates for a contract position in a corporate, financial / insurance environment. The Snr PM will assist Liberty Corporate on a number of regulatory projects, including (but not limited to) PoPIA, AML and Data Management. Minimum 7+ years’ relevant experience is imperative.

    CLIENT: Liberty Corporate

    INITIAL CONTRACT: Start Jan 2021 for 6 months – extension to be reviewed towards the end of the initial contract

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum 7+ years’ Project Management experience
    • At least 4+ years PM experience in Regulatory projects
    • Experience in PoPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act) projects
    • Experience in AML (Anti-Money Laundering) projects
    • Data Management experience will be an added advantage
    • IT/ SDLC PM experience
    • SAFe Agile experience
    • Focused on deliverables and not necessarily hours worked
    • Strong Stakeholder management skills
    • Strong team management skills
    • Team coaching and mentoring

    EDUCATION & TRAINING:

    • Core Degree in an appropriate discipline from a recognised institution
    • Member of an appropriate professional institution
    • PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification is highly desirable

    DELIVERABLES:

    Project Planning and Management

    • Responsible for Initiation and Planning of the project: o Define project scope and create a project charter
    • Create the project approval document
    • Create, maintain and report on the project schedule, resource allocation and budget
    • Ensure that the project has the required resource capability and capacity
    • Manage project dependencies and critical paths
    • Identify project teams, leads, responsibilities, deliverables, dependencies and timelines
    • Produce a project “flight plan” and proactively monitor overall progress against this plan
    • Coordinate and conduct activities with the main stakeholders to obtain information and decisions required to draw up (and maintain) the project plan
    • Create and maintain the stakeholder impact assessment document
    • Create, maintain and report on the RAID log
    • Create and maintain the Change Impact Assessment document
    • Create and maintain a repository for project documentation

    Team Management

    • Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.
    • Business Lead Support – Support the Business Lead in managing offsite development teams for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and implementing an effective project governance system.
    • Manage offsite teams using tried and trusted methods to ensure understanding of the project deliverables.

    Stakeholder Management

    • Manage the expectations of the implementation countries in line with the delivery roadmap of the Group.
    • Manage the relationship with the software vendor to ensure the delivery of the software with the required quality in the agreed timelines.
    • Encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team
    • Facilitate the decision-making process with stakeholders and document accordingly
    • Manage communication, monitoring, reporting and control activities throughout the project lifecycle to all levels of stakeholders
    • Manage third-party contributions to the project

    Project Execution

    • Organize and lead project status; and working meetings
    • Manage issues and budget
    • Manage project issues and risks
    • Manage scope and change control
    • Manage project budget
    • Track and ensure that project milestones and deliverables are met

    Governance & Risk

    • Work according to project governance frameworks and ensure that the programme complies with all relevant delivery standards
    • Prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects; and
    • Pre-empt slippages and issues and action mitigation plans to avert these
    • Report progress of the project at regular intervals to the relevant programme governance forum
