The Rockdrills Lead, Global will support regional sales area service organisations with the development, implementation and follow up of the best practice for Rockdrill repairs within Sandvik's Workshops. You will be globally utilizing Lean tools to streamline repair processes, optimise maintenance turnaround times and develop/implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve safety in component repair operations, improve efficiency and maximize capacity of our workshops.
Key Responsibilities
Maximize profitability for Rockdrill repairs with Lean methodology.
Support the implementation of new processes, system and technologies in workshops to improve efficiencies
Define alternatives to improve operational processes to achieve operational efficiency, costs, productivity safety & quality
Coaching, developing and leading Sales Area teams to establish a culture of best practice in Rockdrill repairs
Lead the feasibility of continuous improvement opportunities for Rockdrill repairs
Use effective change management techniques to ensure impacted stakeholders support the changes
In conjunction with the Competence Development team, develop modules for training and coach newly trained people to drive effective outcomes
Support the delivery of training and capability programs ensuring CI activities for Rockdrill repairs are documented to enable organisational learning and sustainable change
Support / assist development of new workshops or expansion of workshop or service centres
Knowledge, Skills, & Experience Sought
> 5 years’ experience with mining industry equipment
Previous Experience in Component Repairs – Rockdrill Experience Preferred
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong and successful internal and external stakeholder relationships
Exceptional interpersonal, influencing and conflict management skills to manage a diverse group of stakeholders.
Experience in project Management highly regarded
High level of analytical and reporting skills with attention to details
Autonomous and organized with good time management skills
Enthusiastic and persistent personality with can-do mentality
Business fluent in English, additional languages would be an advantage
Ability to work with others in various geographies and different time zones.
