Sales Engineer at Tharisa

Role Context

• Market share is increased by obtaining new business.
• Company sales procedures are followed during sales calls
• Products and services are delivered to customer as per SLA
• Maintains stock levels of all items required for the completion of duties

Customer Service

• Customer visits as per schedule
• Customer satisfaction is maintained
• All client requests are responded to within 24 hours
• Stock takes on customers’ sites as and when required
• Plant / process audits and site visits as and when requested

Administration

• Marketing material collected before visits
• All expenditures are reconciled by due date
• Customer information is captured after each visit
• Quotation and probability feedback after each visit
• Ensure quotations are completed as and when required
• Weekly call plans and site visit reports are submitted to Manager

Marketing

• Market research is conducted in designated areas
• Presentations are delivered to customer as required
• Opportunities are supported with point-of-sale material
• Attendance and participation at exhibitions as discussed with Manager
• Quarterly presentation to management of market research and marketing activities in own area

Requirements

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Degree in Metallurgy Chemistry, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar (preferable)

Job Specification

• 3 years’ experience in mineral processing plants, chrome, coal, heavy minerals and Iron ore
• Computer Literate 
• Valid Driver’s License
