Sales Engineer at Vision Elevators

• Deliver sales presentations on our products and services to existing and potential customers.
• Confer with customers and their agents to clarify/determine customer requirements and specify/source the best products for the specific application. Conduct elevator traffic studies when necessary.
• Quote, follow up, and secure orders. Ensure that the customer’s team understands what is required from them with regards to the elevator shaft and electrical requirements. Ensure that these requirements are met timeously to avoid project delays. Liaise internally with our installation manager to ensure that the installation is scheduled appropriately. Analyse data from follow-ups and suggest/implement changes to secure more orders. Analyse budgeted vs actual project costs and address appropriately.
• Assist clients when they have issues with their installed elevator/escalator.
• Advise customers regarding anything to do with the relevant lift/escalator regulations. Ensure that what we install is suitable and fully compliant. Where the regulations are unclear, liaise with the appropriate lift inspector.
• Identify and streamline key tasks within our administration, quotation, and installation processes.
• Improve sales tools and processes e.g. improve hand-over documentation, brochures, costing processes etc.
• Proactively ensure acceptable sales growth in JHB and the surrounding areas.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

• Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Degree

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• AutoCAD, SAP – Business One (will train on the job)
