    Sales Team Leader

    • The Team Leader of the business unit will be responsible for overseeing and managing the team to maximize sales, minimize risk and ensure that the team is fully aligned with the vision of creating a prosperous South Africa through education.     Requirements

    The team leader will:

    Lead the operations of the business unit:

    • Create an inspiring and motivated team environment with an open communication culture.
    • Recognize and reward high performance.
    • Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts.
    • Set clear team goals, delegate tasks, and set deadlines.
    • Assist their line manager in recruiting team members.
    • Set an example for team members in commitment, work ethic, and personal character.
    • Catalysing pride in the brand and the vision of making a difference in our country.
    • Positively interact and cooperate with members of the organization, its suppliers, and customers.
    • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.

    Drive the units performance:

    • Brief team members daily and set clear daily targets.
    • Monitor team performance and report on metrics.
    • Analyse records of leads, sales, and other performance-related data to identify opportunities to maximize sales.
    • Coach and develop staff to minimize variation in performance across the business unit.
    • Encourage peer-to-peer coaching.
    • Problem solve to ensure that challenges to meeting targets are resolved.
    • Quality reviews and correction/verification of sales in which non-risk errors have been made.
    • Discipline staff by our code of conduct.

    Contribute to the strategic management of the business unit:

    • Reporting every month to the line manager and Client management.
    • Assist line manager in developing plans and strategies to achieve agreed targets.
    • Contribute to training, performance, and development of the team.
    • Oversight of the administrative duties and management of documentation.

    This role has the following requirements:

    Qualifications

    • Matric
    • RE5 – Advantageous

    Experience                                 

    • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in working as a sales team leader or supervisor in short-term insurance.
    • In-depth knowledge of call center metrics and ability to use these metrics to drive performance.

    Skills

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Highly proficient in MS Excel.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
    • Organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent Leadership skills
    • Ability to solve a complex problem
