- Our client has a vacancy for a SAQCC Fire Detection (DGS) Technician, for a permanent role, based in Midrand, Gauteng.
Applicants are required to strictly meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12, valid Driver’s license and valid registration with SAQCC
- Minimum 3-years’ experience working on Fire Detection and Sprinkler Systems
- Previous experience and knowledge of programming of fire detection control panels
- Previous Pipe Fitter experience is essential.
- Basic Knowledge of relevant applicable SANS codes
- Be able to conduct surveys, draft quotations to clients and oversee completion of projects
- Target and goal orientated; Ability to work without supervision.
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Manage and complete special projects
- Manage and supervise assistant technicians
- Travel to various destinations and work outside normal working hours when required
- Ensure that all work complies to relevant SANS codes
