They are looking for an SCCM Engineer to join their Desktop Team in Cape Town. Your primary objective will be to reduce manual tasks via automation as well as innovate and implement automated solutions which are scalable, sustainable and efficient.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining the SCCM Infrastructure for both Prod and Non-Prod areas (Application, Client, Server, Database and Network layer);
• Defining governance and standard procedures for usage of SCCM across support teams;
• Creating customizable and reliable reporting on the inventory of Hardware and Software;
• Defining, monitoring and troubleshooting daily health checks;
• Taking a strategic approach to reducing manual footprint;
• Evolving the Desktop team space by keeping abreast with the latest technology;
• Analysing, planning, creating, testing, troubleshooting and coordinating all software (new and existing) and Windows 10 operating system version updates;
• Automated business area profiling when commissioning machines; and,
• Providing training and support for Desktop Support team members.

To apply, you need to have an SCCM certification and a Microsoft / CompTIA certification coupled with solid experience using SCCM 2002 packaging, deployment and reporting. You need to have experience supporting multiple applications across a 1500 machine-based environment across different distribution points. It will be advantageous if you have knowledge of Windows 10, Office365 and Windows Virtual Desktop as well as any experience within the Financial Services industry.
