    Scrum Master - Cape Town

    Are you an experienced Scrum Master looking for an exciting opportunity to lead product development in the retail industry? We have a fantastic opening for an Agile Scrum Master to join our dynamic team and manage a new retail product development delivery for our SADC region. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extending for an additional 3 months based on project requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop project plans and action strategies to ensure successful completion of assigned products.
    • Manage and coach agile product development delivery with the teams you work with.
    • Ensure features are delivered on time, within budget, and meet specified functionality according to stakeholder requirements.
    • Monitor scope and quality to ensure stakeholder expectations and customer requirements are met.
    • Establish effective communication channels with team members and stakeholders, track progress, and escalate risks and issues when necessary.
    • Skillfully manage and meet multiple client expectations.

    Requirements:

    • Matriculation certificate plus a 3-year tertiary qualification with at least 5 years of relevant experience OR matriculation certificate with 7 years of relevant experience.
    • Formal training and certification in a recognized Agile/SAFE methodology.
    • Formal training and certification in a recognized project management methodology.
    • Industry experience managing EPICS in a complex information technology environment.
    • Experience managing EPICS with stakeholders across various geographies.
    • Understanding of retail insurance product development.

    • Stakeholder Management & Communication Management

    Technology Skills:

    • Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications, MS Project, JIRA, TEAMS Planner, MIRO, Trello, O365.
    • Experience using PPO and Jira to manage work items would be beneficial.

    Management Skills:

    • Ability to manage and oversee insurance product design and technical staff.

    • Demonstrates self-management and personal mastery, actively engages in self-learning.
    • Positive, high-energy, and determined attitude.
    • Results-oriented with a customer-first focus.
    • Demonstrates innovative problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
    • Exhibits influential leadership and a collaborative approach.

    Language and Communication Skills:

    • Fluent spoken and written English.
    • Ability to communicate effectively across diverse cultures in the African continent.
