    SCRUM Master - Insurance industry experience

    The Scrum Master will be responsible for resolving impediments and controlling the scrum processes. This will include everything from coaching the team about agile scrum to delivering successful deliverables.

    Requirements:

    • 5-10 years experience in project management applying agile delivery practices (full software delivery and deployment lifecycle) -  4 years working experience as a SCRUM Master
    • Insurance claims process experience preferred, but general Life Insurance experience required
    • Experience in a Salesforce project environment preferable
    • Experience leading complex feature teams with a mix of client (IT & business), and vendor teams.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. 
    • Scrum Master certification will be highly advantageous
    • Excellent communication skills on all levels
    • Problem-solving and conflict resolution ability

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage each project’s scope and timeline
    • Responsible for facilitating daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings. 
    • Facilitating the team creativity and improving efficiencies of the development team.
    • Coaching the team members in Agile frameworks
    • Responsible for managing the scrum process with the coordination of the scrum team in Agile methodology. 
    • Responsible for clearing obstacles.
    • Assisting teams in implementing changes effectively.
    • Ensuring that deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
    • Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity
    • Ensuring a good relationship exists between the team and the product owner and others outside of the team. 
    • Develop decision making processes in order to ensure quick inspection and proper use of adaptation processes.
    • Assist the product owner with product backlogs to get them in good shape and get them ready for the next sprints. 
    • Organises and facilitates the sprint planning meeting
    • Protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions.
