Scrum Master - Johannesburg at Optimal Growth Technologies

Key Responsibilities:

Agile Coaching:

• Coach and mentor technical delivery teams in embracing agile methodologies to drive efficiency and innovation. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and adaptive planning.

Servant Leadership:

• Act as a servant leader, supporting and enabling the success of the technical delivery teams. Remove impediments and barriers to the team's progress, facilitating a collaborative and empowered working environment.

Risk Management:

• Identify, assess, and manage risks, dependencies, and impediments affecting project delivery. Lead the team and engage with business stakeholders to find timely and effective solutions.
• Coordination and Collaboration:
• Coordinate with other teams and functional partners to ensure alignment and collaboration. Proactively escalate issues when necessary to facilitate prompt resolution.

Communication and Stakeholder Management:

• Maintain open communication channels with stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of project status, changes, and metrics. Actively gather insights and needs from stakeholders and initiatives to prevent misalignment and roadblocks.

Continuous Feedback:

• Regularly collect and provide feedback to the team, fostering a culture of transparency and continuous improvement. Facilitate retrospectives to identify areas for enhancement and celebrate successes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field; additional certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. In-depth knowledge of agile principles and practices.
• Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with the ability to drive change and foster collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to identify and address impediments to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
