Section Engineer - Underground at Hire Resolve

• Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Section Engineer to join their mining company based in Limpopo. You will be responsible for providing engineering leadership and technical support to underground operations, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient maintenance of mining equipment and infrastructure while maintaining statutory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering leadership and ensure compliance with engineering and safety legislation.
• Manage the maintenance, reliability and availability of underground mining equipment and infrastructure.
• Support underground operations through effective maintenance planning and execution.
• Manage contractors and engineering service providers to ensure operational performance.
• Lead and develop engineering teams through performance management, coaching and succession planning.
• Manage engineering budgets, optimise resource utilisation and control maintenance costs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Ensure engineering governance, risk management and statutory compliance.
• Monitor engineering performance and implement corrective actions where required.
• Collaborate with operational teams to achieve production and business objectives.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• GCC Mines & Works
• 8-10 years' experience as a Section Engineer within an underground mining environment
• Experience in conventional and trackless underground mining
• Experience in project management, maintenance and reliability engineering
• Valid Driver's License
