    Section Head: Civil Litigation: Limpopo (at the level of Brigadier) Ref Number: 26/10/3894

    Generic appointment requirements applicable to all posts: 

    Applicants:

    • Must be fluent in at least two of the official languages, of which one must be English; 
    • Must have a valid light motor vehicle drivers’ licence: 
    • Must have no tattoo mark(s) which will be visible when wearing any uniform of the Service; 
    • Will be subjected to a preliminary security clearance vetting, which must reflect no negative issue against such candidate; and 
    • Will be required to undergo a Lifestyle Audit and Top Secret Security Clearance Vetting process. 

    The following generic competencies are applicable to every post: 

    • The post requires skills in: strategic capability, analytical ability and leadership, programme and project management, financial management, change management, service delivery innovation, problem solving and analysis, people management and empowerment, client orientation, audit and assurance, audit and risk management experience, stake holder

    APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS 

    Applicants:

    • Must have a LLB (accredited by SAQA on NQF level 8); 
    • An applicable post graduate qualification in the above relevant fields, and/or relevant training and development in an Middle Management Learning Programme, Leadership and Management Training Programme and/or admission as an Attorney or Advocate with successful bar examination/pupillage examination may be an advantage; 
    • Must have a minimum period of three years’ appropriate managerial experience. 

    CORE FUNCTIONS: 

    • To ensure litigation services within the province. 
    • Manage labour litigation and arbitrations services. 
    • Manage civil litigation services. 
    • Manage civil claims and recovery. 
    • Manage civil litigation payment services within the province. 
    • Manage and utilise human, financial, physical and information resources in the immediate post environment in accordance with the strategies, priorities and regulatory framework of the SAPS.

    • any specific document / course required in the advertisement.
