Section Manager (Underground) at Hire Resolve

Description:

• Hire Resolve's Client is looking for an experienced Section Manager (Underground) to join their mining company based in Limpopo. You will be responsible for leading underground mining operations to achieve safe, efficient and cost-effective production while ensuring compliance with statutory, operational and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage underground mining operations to achieve production targets safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with mining legislation, safety standards and company policies.
• Plan, coordinate and execute mining activities in accordance with approved mine plans.
• Allocate and manage personnel, equipment and other operational resources.
• Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions where required.
• Manage operational budgets and drive cost control initiatives.
• Ensure workforce competency through training, coaching and development.
• Promote a strong safety culture and maintain compliance with health and safety standards.
• Lead and develop mining teams to achieve operational objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve operational performance and productivity.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency
• Degree in Mining Engineering
• 10 years' experience within an underground mining environment (conventional mining)
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Section Manager in a hard rock underground mining environment
• Project Management experience
• Trackless mining experience will be advantageous
• Valid Driver's License
