    SEM/Paid Social Specialist

    Why this role is exciting:

    We are looking for a highly technical, analytical and data driven Marketer who is passionate about SEM and paid social. Join an exciting Marketing team based in Cape Town which services our entire global tech company. Our marketing leading brand allows creative marketing thinking, as we create a new category in the tech space.

    Work with the Cape Town marketing team (design, web dev, social), and report to the Demand Generation Manager in New York, as well as working with the rest of the Marketing team based across New York, Santa Barbara, London and Sydney.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Plan, execute, analyze, optimize and report on all paid digital efforts globally including paid search, social advertising (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter), and display/retargeting
    • Perform ongoing paid keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
    • Research and analyze competitor advertising links
    • Partner with Marketing Ops and Demand Generation leadership to understand campaign efficiency, ROI and suggest ways to optimize spend
    • Maintain campaign budgets
    • Suggest new, innovative areas for growth, both paid and non-paid
    • Optimize toward agreed upon campaign KPI’s and ultimately meet marketing attributed pipeline and NMRR goals.
    • Develop and maintain integrated, multi-touch demand marketing campaigns
    • Adhere to campaign launch calendars and timelines
    • Maintain relationships with media vendors and marketing agencies
    • Deep understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.
    • Well versed in vendor landscape, contributes to agency POVs
    • Maintains understanding of new and evolving product offering.
    • Monitors the latest trends in social media, including advertising formats, channels and technologies in order to improve campaign performance and provide recommendations on how clients can best leverage new tools and services
    • Intermediate level understanding of Excel functions (i.e.. VLook-up, Pivot Table, chart building) and PowerPoint

    Does this sound like you? 

    • Experience with various ad: tech platforms such as AdWords, Terminus, LinkedIn ads, Facebook Ads, Demandbase, etc.
    • Experience with Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics and Excel
    • Experience with marketing attribution platforms such as Bizible
    • 3-5 years of Demand Generation, digital marketing, particularly SEM and paid social
    • Experience tracking and reporting on campaign performance
    • Experience managing campaign optimization and spend to remain in budget
    • Strong collaboration and project management experience
