Semi Skilled Assembler at FLSmidth

Role Purpose

• To assemble all Flsmidth product line units as well as to ensure that the best quality is adhered to during the assembly of these product. Strive to service FLSmidth customer and adhere to all safety standard whilst doing so.

Key Responsibilities

• Support to the Assembly Supervisor including but not limited to the following:
• Reading and interpreting General arrangement drawings as well as Assembly drawings
• Dismantling & Assembly of Water flush, mechanical and centrifugal pumps
• Dismantling & Cyclones and Cyclone clusters
• Dismantling & Assembly of knife gate valves
• Dismantling & Assembly of Liners as well as sub-assemblies
• Dismantling & Assembly of bearing assemblies
• Fitment and aligning of couplings, pulleys & Bushes
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained and adhered to always.
• Achieving goals and objectives set for the department as well as for FLSmidth.
• Must be able to perform tasks in specified time frame allocated to each product
• Attend all departmental meetings.
• Comply with OHS act, Quality standards and specification.

Requirements

• Grade 12,
• 4-5 years’ experience required in the assembly of pumps, Valves and Cyclone
• Fitting Trade test certificate will be an added advantage
• Forklift licence
• Overhead Crane licence
• Work well with in a team
• Self-motivated
• Customer driven
• Willing to work overtime when required
• Knowledge of FLSmidth Krebs product line will be an advantage
