• An exciting position in Cape Town is available for a dynamic Senior Accountant to manage the accounting function of four top caliber restaurants in my client’s current portfolio. You will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will handle control of account processing, reconciliations, and ensure financial accuracy, all while adapting to the lively energy of the restaurant. Remuneration bracket will range from R360k - R480k per annum depending on level of experience. 

Responsibilities: 

• Review and manage weekly supplier payments
• Review and manage credit applications
• Manage and oversee monthly supplier balance testing
• Manage weekly bank statement capturing and reconciling
• Review and manage all cash accounts weekly
• Ensure monthly cash reconciliations and cash counts are received
• Manage monthly entering of loan account movements and updating on audit schedules
• Oversee monthly updating of FAR
• Prepare and manager reconciliation of CWIP account
• Manage posting of monthly depreciation and inventory journals
• Manage and obtain paperwork for staff loans paid via EFT or petty cash
• Ensure deductions from payroll takes place related to HR documentation
• Manage posting of monthly salary and wage journals
• Manage bi-weekly reconciliation of tips control account
• Manage monthly reconciliation of payroll control accounts
• Manager and oversee sponsorship of income invoicing
• Oversee and manage the venue hire and function invoicing

Requirements:

• BCom degree in Accounting or similar
• Min 2-4 years of experience as accountant in restaurant industry/hospitality 
• Knowledge and experience with Micros POS non-negotiable
