Responsible for managing the supplier database, vetting of suppliers, act as liaison with service providers and ensure that suppliers meet the mandatory and service delivery requirements according to the Procurement policy and service level agreements; to provide functional support and end-user support, maintenance and reports on supplier database performance; responsible for managing general purchasing by ensuring that requisitions for non-asset goods and services are processed in an effective and efficient manner which is compliant with RU policies and procedures.
The Requirements
A relevant degree / national higher diploma (3 years of study / NQF level 7) in related fields like Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Management plus approximately 6 years’ relevant experience where such experience includes: -
Previous experience in procurement / purchasing
Experience working with the Procurement module in the Oracle Cloud Finance System will be an advantage
Having worked with accounts previously and be able to reconcile accounts
Highly computer literate – Microsoft Word, Excel, E-Mail and the Internet
Experience in establishing, using and maintaining electronic and paper based administrative systems
