    Senior Analyst - Business Analysis and Planning

    QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Post-graduate degree in Commerce or Accounts.
    • CA(SA) or similar post-graduate honours degree (i.e., CIMA)

    Competencies:

    • Proficient computer literacy including Microsoft office
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, with both verbal and written communication skills

    Work Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years' post-article work experience, preferably in the mining/natural resources industry.
    • Prior exposure to Reporting, Planning, Operational finance, and support services functions.
    • Demonstrated prior exposure to financial modelling and financial scenario analysis.
    • Demonstrated prior exposure to Xeras or similar planning systems.
    • Prior SAP and/or Oracle experience beneficial.

    GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

    • BAP activities and deliverables, such as supporting the Copper Africa Business Controller in executing these activities and deliverables, implementing, and maintaining related policies, procedures and controls to establish a rigorous control environment.
    • Maintain relevant planning models and calculations and ensure accurate cost and capital planning.
    • Support financial reporting and planning cycles through ensuring timely reporting of site financial and operational results, accurate, standardised, and meaningful information, and ensuring strict compliance with Group reporting requirements.
    • Ensure strict compliance with Group reporting requirements and IFRS.
    • Review, develop and maintain planning models to support planning cycles, ensuring architecture, calculation logic, layout, accuracy, and standardisation is met.
    • Review planning model/system inputs, assumptions, and output, supporting technical and financial teams, ensuring structure and output is aligned with Group Chart of Accounts (CoA) and Cost Center structure.
    • Perform corporate valuations and scenarios dependent on detailed cost, capital and physical assumptions.
    • Support finance teams, remaining involved and in contact with finance teams on a regular basis, building and maintaining open and constructive relationships to execute on general accountabilities.
    • Support finance and commercial teams with market intelligence, business insights and trend analysis.
    • Design and maintain dashboards and reports to provide clear visibility of financial and operational performance metrics.
    • Assist in the preparation and coordination of life of mine planning and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and accurate forecasting.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to ensure alignment with financial goals and business strategies.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements within financial planning and reporting, implementing enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
    • Support business development activities by providing financial analysis, modelling, and insights to evaluate potential opportunities and support decision-making.
