Job Purpose
TMF provides a range of services for Corporates to assist them in: a) running a local business, b) preparing to enter a new market or c) operating across many borders. These services include Corporate Secretarial, Accounting & Tax, and HR & Payroll.
In addition to this, TMF Group is a recognized global player in the administration of Capital Markets transactions and PERE investments, providing a complete range of fund and business services.
The role is IT Developer (Data Engineer) for TMF Group and the role will report to the Data & Insights Technical Lead.
Primarily role is to ensure timely design and deliver Data Lake / Data Warehouse / ETL Processes and PowerBI Reports & dashboards assigned by the development manager in a cost-effective manner. Development experience with tools like SQL Server, Snowflake, SSIS, ADF, Databricks, DQS, MDS, SSRS & PowerBI. The Developer is expected to work within the security standards and code quality requirements of the group including full documentation and use of source control.
Key Responsibilities

- Understanding Business requirements and existing ecosystem
- Participate in Effort Estimation, Work scheduling process with Leads
- Organize, store, analyze, and transform data from different sources and large datasets into information that can be utilized to make business decisions and actions, using various techniques and modelling of outputs
- Create complex reports and dashboards using various technologies (Alteryx, Tableau/Power BI)
- Maintain regular reports and amend changes based on stakeholders’ requirements
- Analyze, understand, and model data being used in the process and (re)define process flows, reporting and data visualization that improves efficiency in how we deliver outputs and insights to our Clients
- Ownership and oversight of data quality and identify potential enhancements
- Design Data Lake / Datawarehouse as per requirements
- Design and develop ETL process using SSIS/ADF/Databricks
- Design schema to manage Master Data
- Design reports in PowerBI and SSRS.
- Deliver the reports using Iterative, Agile or Waterfall model as necessary
- Provide support and fix issues in existing reports/ETL processes
- Identify and test for bugs and bottlenecks in the solution
- Ensure good performance and quality of reports/dashboards/ETL processes
- Ensure process compliance
- Provide Daily / Weekly update on progress of work
- Identify areas of improvement and propose solutions

Candidate profile
- Experience with public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration considerations;
- Working knowledge of Big Data and Data Lakes
- Experience handling Structured and unstructured datasets;
- Strong understanding of database technologies and management systems.
- Minimum of 4 years of RDBMS experience;
- Experience with JSON, XML data structures;
- 3+ years of hands on experience in programming languages such as python, SQL;
- Experience implementing data pipelines using latest technologies and techniques;
- At least 3 years of client service delivery experience on Azure;
- Good working knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, PowerBI & Azure
- Expert in USQL, Python, Hive SQL, Spark SQL, Data Bricks, Snowflake;
- Strong t-SQL skills with experience in Azure SQL DW;
- Experience in Data Modeling and Advanced SQL techniques;
- Anticipate, identify and solve issues concerning data management to improve data quality
- Experience in implementing solutions for Master Data Management
- Experienced in extracting, cleaning, transforming and integrating data across heterogenous source systems
- Cloud migration methodologies and processes including tools like Azure Data Factory, Event Hub, etc;
- Experience working with Azure DevOps
- Experienced in designing reports in SSRS/Power BI
- Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus;
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
