Work as part of a team developing applications and services using Agile development methods
Contribute to team and organizational improvements in process and infrastructure
Build customer-facing UI and back-end services
Code, test and operate node.js based services
Effectively use tools and ingenuity to identify and fix defects before they become a problem
Experience
Node.js and the NPM ecosystem
API Gateways and development
Database queries and transactions via PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch
Unit and functional testing with Jest
Understanding about Continuous Integration and Delivery with Pipelines (or Jenkins)
Principals should include SOLID, RESTful services, and microservice application design patterns
Striving for performance and utilizing application metrics to identify bottlenecks
Soft Skills
Ability to work as part of a team, interdependent as well as independently, and submit deliverables on time and in excellent quality. SELF STARTER.
Aboveboard work ethics – this is of utmost importance.
Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project.
Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required.
