Senior Engineer – Traffic & Transport Engineering - (ENG-L6.96)
Working with and supporting a team of experienced and specialist Traffic and Transport Engineers.
Technical management of transport engineering projects, which range from small traffic impact assessments through major public transport planning, strategic transport plans (master plans), demand forecast and traffic modelling.
A key requirement will be a strong traffic modelling capability, specifically with the modelling software packages of AIMSUN, VISSIM and VISUM.
Providing primary client liaison in respect of some projects.
Participation in the administration of projects in line with company requirements.
Lead or assist with compiling tenders for any Transport Planning/Traffic Engineering related opportunities.
Contributing to the professional development of junior team members.
Minimum Requirements
BEng/BSc degree in Civil Engineering. A postgraduate engineering qualification would be advantageous.
Professional Engineer registration with ECSA.
Minimum of 10 years’ proven experience in Civil Engineering with a broader interest in Transportation planning and traffic engineering.
Demonstrated ability to independently lead projects in the traffic and transport engineering environment.
Demonstrated ability of developing traffic models in the last five years.
Ability to develop and enhance client relationships.
Ability to work in a team environment across a diverse range of projects.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
Ability to function effectively in a high-pressure work environment.
Must possess a valid South Africa driving license and be willing and able to travel, when required.
