    Civil Technologist - (ENG-L5.68)

    Role Responsibilities

    • Engage/participate in the full spectrum of geometric and drainage design - from conceptual to final design.
    • Design co-ordination, perform and oversee drafting.
    • Develop specifications and bills of quantities.
    • Prepare reports required by the project development.
    • Full project management responsibilities for related design projects
    • Engage with the client on project related matters.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal oversight.
    • Ability to interpret and communicate information of a complex technical nature.

    Minimum Requirements

    Engineer's Representative (Resident Engineer) - (ENG-L6.77)

    Role Responsibilities

    • Supervise all construction and installation activities on site and monitoring contractors’ progress.
    • Technical input to the progress reports on all works being carried out at the site and offer regular update on progress and measurements for work complete.
    • Review and monitor equipment, site staff and work methods, identify deficiency of performance before the occurrence of delays and quality issues.
    • Manage and report on all commercial matters: Contractor’s invoice, issue Non-Conformance Reports, Site Instructions, record and justify delays or claims, variation orders, address non-conformance and discrepancies.
    • Ensure site work, laboratory tests and designs are carried out in accordance with specification requirements, codes and standards, HSE regulations.
    • Ensure proper record keeping of all corresponding information are maintained kept up to date.
    • Manage operations and staff on site.
    • Ensure strict safety and security regulations compliance, and that environmental protection measures during construction are properly carried out. 
    • Support Contracts Engineer and Client in delivering projects in line with requirement, time, cost and quality frame and meets quality requirement.
    • Apply Site Management System based on ISO 9001 QMS.

    Minimum Requirements

    • BSc/BEng/BTech in Civil Engineering OR BSc in Quantity Surveying.
    • ECSA PrEng/PrTech/PrTechEng OR SACQSP PrQS registration.
    • PrCMP Registration with SACPCMP would be advantageous.
    • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in construction and/or projects site supervision within client bodies (large municipal clients or water utilities).
    • Experience as the Engineer’s Representative (Resident Engineer) in large multidisciplinary projects. Earthworks, Bulk Pipelines, Building works and Structural Experience would be advantageous.
    • Thorough working knowledge of specifications and Bill of Quantities (SANS 1200, project specific etc.).
    • Thorough working knowledge of Conditions of Contract (GCC 2015).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Officer Suite.

    Senior Public Health & Fire BIM Modeller - (DM-L5.22)

    Role Responsibility   

    • Lead a team of modelers within a discipline. 
    • Execute the 3D digital build with the required authoring software to accurately capture the design and all design related data. 
    • Pay careful consideration to the context, relevant interfaces, and buildability of the model elements during the digital build. 
    • Ensure that all required metadata not automatically generated is manually added to the digital build elements, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and a real commitment to data accuracy. 
    • Achieve completion of various aspects of the digital build as set out in the TIDP/Drawing register to maintain the agreed cadence of model federation and information sharing. 
    • Achieve ongoing project adherence to the BEP/EIRs and communicate opportunities for efficiency enhancement to the BIM coordinator. 
    • Pay close attention to quality of outputs.  

    Minimum Requirements 

    • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent and an industry recognised Modelling or Draughting qualification. 
    • Minimum of 5 experience as a Plumbing & Fire Digital Modeller. 
    • Revit for MEP is essential. 
    • Be familiar with delivering projects in the global commercial built environment.  As such, you will proactively bring solutions that pushes our accuracy, quality and data richness beyond current industry norms. 
    • Have the ability to use initiative to resolve tasks or problems. 
    • Familiarity with BIM360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud advantageous.

    Wet Services Modeler - (DM-L5.27)

    Role responsibilities:

    • Virtual construction of our engineering designs in Revit, including drafting of schematics, creating schedules, etc. 
    • Understanding/incorporating/implementing applicable drawing standards related to different clients and disciplines.
    • Interface with design engineers, through clear communication (written, verbal and diagrammatically).
    • Modelling of designs (with a main focus on Fire services, experience in MEP is advantageous) forming part of projects such as education and  sports facilities, hospitals, data centres, commercial buildings, transport facilities as well as hotels and apartments, sometimes including industrial facilities.  
    • Extending our digital content libraries through advanced content creation in accordance with internal guidelines Quality checking deliverables (incl. modelling works, data/parameter management) of your work, in alignment with our project requirements 
    • Co-ordinating & interfacing with other task teams by using federated models for the early identification and pro-active clash avoidance and/or resolution. 
    • Maintain project records & outputs in accordance with internal quality systems & information management systems.  
    • Experience in hydraulics, pipe and wet services modelling is to your advantage

    Minimum requirements:

    • Certificate or Diploma in technical drawing.
    • Experience and understanding of Microsoft Office packages and Autodesk Packages.
    • Minimum 2-5 years proven working experience in the engineering field, specifically utilizing Revit for modelling of projects.
    • Understanding of various drawing file types and format exchanges.
    • Ability to streamline existing workflows or improve process efficiencies.
    • Experience in 3D modelling. Generate 3D models of infrastructure design within the Engineering Design context, for marketing, project or design related purposes.
    • Develop and generate plans, sections, elevations, and details from 3D models within the BIM context.
    • Extract engineering data and metadata from 3D models within the BIM context when required.

    Senior Building Services Mechanical Engineer: Fire & Wet Services - (ENG-L6.80)

    Role responsibilities

    • Manage full design aspects for Mechanical Services across a range of building services projects. 
    • Analysing project requirements in the context of various codes and standard and develop conceptual designs through to a set of construction information.
    • Directing a small team to ensure compliant designs are delivered to agreed programmes.
    • Manage and coordinate interdisciplinary interfaces.
    • Develop scripts and add-ins to automate repetitive design aspects and/or to check various design compliance aspects (using e.g., Dynamo, Python).
    • Strong understanding of local, international codes and standards, including those applicable to South Africa, Middle East & Australia.

    Minimum requirements

    • BTech/BSc/BEng in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Active professional registration with a certified engineering body
    • Minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience as a Mechanical (Fire & Wet Services) Engineer within the Built Environment. (International experience will be highly advantageous).
    • Strong technical and view of building services, focusing mainly on Mechanical.
    • Strong proficiency in chilled water system design.
    • Strong proficiency in Revit would be an advantage working on your projects.
    • Strong proficiency in IES & HAP and mechanical simulation software is highly advantageous.

    Senior Pavements & Materials Engineer - (ENG-L6.75)

    Role Responsibilities

    • Project Management (design and consultancy projects).
    • Leading and coordinating road pavement engineering designs (mechanistic-empirical). Proven experience in pavement design, analysis and decision making.
    • Asphalt mix design, seal design, stabilization design (cement/emulsion/NME/etc.).
    • Data management and basic coding experience preferred.
    • Road condition assessments, construction material source investigations (quarries, borrow pits etc.).

    • Professional registration with ECSA preferred.
    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Pavement Engineer.
    • Possess a current and valid motor vehicle driver license
    • Willing to work outside normal working hours and travel on occasion.
    • Software proficiency typically in: Rubicon, cncPave, mePads, FAARFIELD, AIRPAVE, etc.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

    Senior Mechanical Engineer (Wastewater) - (ENG-L6.102)

    Key responsibilities

    • Plan, execute and supervise mechanical engineering design activities in collaboration with other engineering disciplines (process, civil, structural and electrical)
    • Writing and compiling tender documents (design specifications and schedules of quantities)

    • As an HR Executive Assistant at Zutari, you will play a critical role in supporting the Human Resources CPO and HR executives in their daily activities. You will be responsible for maintaining HR records, coordinating HR projects, managing schedules, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of the HR team.

    Responsibilities:

    Senior Engineer – Traffic & Transport Engineering - (ENG-L6.96)

    Key Role Responsibilities

    • Working with and supporting a team of experienced and specialist Traffic and Transport Engineers.
    • Technical management of transport engineering projects, which range from small traffic impact assessments through major public transport planning, strategic transport plans (master plans), demand forecast and traffic modelling.

    Principal Civil Engineer – Stormwater Modelling and Water Sensitive Urban Design - (ENG-L7.52)

    Key Skills and Responsibilities

    • Technically competent in urban stormwater, flood risk assessments, hydraulic analysis and design and implementation of urban water engineering solutions.
    • Specific skills in urban flood modelling and analysis, open channel flow hydraulics, engineering design of flood protection and erosion control measures, stormwater design and master planning.
    • Experience in and an appreciation of the importance of nature-based solutions towards improved flood resilience and adaptation.  
    • An understanding of Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) as an engineering design approach which integrates various elements of the urban water cycle.
    • Extensive experience in the use of appropriate hydrological and hydraulic modelling (1D and 2D) as well as geospatial analysis software.  
    • Exposure to other elements of the urban water cycle including water conservation and demand management, non-revenue water, stormwater harvesting, mitigation of climate change impacts and sustainability in an urban water environment.
    • Awareness and aptitude to implement new digital technologies and tools particularly relating to urban water management, the monitoring of stormwater, flood early warning systems, and flood risk mapping.
    • Strong project management skills including financial management, time management, people management and experience of Quality Management Systems (QMS) in a consulting environment.  
    • Excellent technical report-writing skills.
    • Effective planning and time management.
    • Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary and culturally diverse teams.
    • Managing and mentoring junior staff.
    • Experience in preparation of proposals, client engagement and winning work.
    • Excellent presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Strong inter-personal and networking skills.
    • Short-term project visits to African and Middle East countries might be required.

    Minimum Requirements

    • BSc Eng / B Eng in a related engineering field.
