Senior Full-Stack Engineer at TheXchange

We are a start-up in the Financial Technology industry looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to handle the design, architecture, development, code review, and testing of key software solutions. You will play a leading part in a cross-functional, global team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment & maintenance.

As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end development languages, development tools, frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.

Responsibilities

• Work with the development and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Write effective APIs
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Create security and data protection settings
• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
• Write technical documentation
• Participate in daily stand-ups/ad-hoc design sessions as and when required (via online conferencing facilities, ie. Zoom)
• Be prepared to collaborate with remote teams across different time zones, which may occasionally require working outside usual business hours

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• At least 10 years' experience as a Full Stack developer or similar role
• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
• Proven experience with common front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React Native)
• Proven experience with common back-end languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• Proven experience with development of REST services
• Proven experience with Linux OS and development tools & open source libraries
• Proven experience with database design, creation, manipulation and administration (e.g. MySQL, Amazon Aurora)
• Proven experience with web servers (e.g. Apache, NGINX) and UI/UX design
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail
• Organizational skills

Recommended Requirements:

• Experience with design, implementation and administering of high-availability hardware infrastructure on AWS
• Familiarity with blockchain technologies
