Job Description

Our team is in search of a new team member to join our Creative Studio in Durban in the role of a Senior Graphic Designer.

So, what will you do

You will be expected to produce a wide range of creative assets, from designing concept pitches to producing highly polished final artwork.

You will collaboratively work with the Creative Studio team and internal stakeholders to create effective creative communication solutions that edify iKhokha as a brand and that help our merchants and potential merchants make decisions.

Deal Breakers :

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a design role.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an senior graphic designer or in a similar Senior role with exposure to, ATL, Digital & POS.
• Experience in logo design, typography, colour, web layout design, print production and package design
• Highly proficient in using Adobe Creative Cloud
• Excellent communication skills (a good command of the English language)
• Conceptual and creative thinker
• Excellent multi-tasking skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Pro-active
• Meticulous with attention to detail
• Flexible to work outside of normal working hours
• After Effects and XD skills are advantageous
• Illustration skills are advantageous

What would you be responsible for?

• Produce sketches, storyboards, roughs to visualize idea.
• Design development and production for various design tasks and projects.
• Design key visuals for complex creative campaigns.
• Roll-out of approved key visuals to various elements.
• Produce creative thought leadership and experiential content for broadcast, print and digital channels.
• Lead creative campaigns from a design perspective from ideation through to content handover.
• Ideate concepts for various projects and channels.
• Layout and design of ideation presentations.
• Presenting ideas to the Senior Art Director, Creative Director and/or the broader Growth Marketing Team.
• Provide creative solutions for design issues.
• Stay abreast with the latest design/industry trends across digital and traditional media.
• Review junior/ mid-weight designers work and provide creative and technical feedback where needed.
• Provide guidance to junior design team in ideation and design directions.
• Upskill the junior design team where needed to grow the team efficiency.
