    Senior Interior Designer(AN 58)

    Key Responsibilities:

    Design Leadership & Client Strategy:

    • Act as the lead design consultant for clients. Provide spatial planning, material selection, and design direction aligned with luxury standards.
    • Develop and maintain design standards for the South African show room, including overseeing 3D renders and technical documentation to ensure they meet international luxury standars before client presentation.
    • Translate global design trends into commercially viable local offerings, advising the business on which high-end collections to stock or phase out based on South African architectural shifts.

    Global Liaison:

    • Engage with international suppliers regarding priority production slots, custom orders, and exclusive product previews.
    • Resolve technical and quality discrepancies between HQ production and local project requirements, ensuring the brand's global reputation remains untarnished.
    • Provide feedback to the global design team on local market requirements, potentially influencing future international product lines.

    Sales Management & Revenue Growth:

    • Take ownership of achieving monthly sales targets.
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue through bespoke projects.
    • Review and approve high-value quotes and complex tenders.
    • Build strong relationships with architects, developers, and industry professionals.
    • Lead weekly sales reviews to monitor lead conversion rates and mentor the junior team on closing techniques and luxury sales etiquette.

    Project & Risk Management:

    • Oversee project delivery to ensure quality, timelines, and client satisfaction with precision.
    • Oversee site audits for the most complex installations, ensuring that structural and aesthetic integration aligns with both South African building regulations and supplier's technical warranties.
    • Take executive ownership of logistical crises or site-based pivots, making rapid, high-impact decisions to protect the project timeline and budget.

    Client Engagement & Pipeline Management:

    • Maintain ongoing client communication, follow-ups, and lead generation.
    • Manage long sales cycles and ensure consistent engagement throughout projects.

    Job Requirements:

    • Diploma in Interior Design.
    • Minimum 5-6 years’ experience in a similar interior design role within the luxury or high-end market.
    • Proven experience in interior design with a focus additional focus on sales management.
    • Strong understanding of client planning, fabric selection, and spatial design.
    • Experience dealing with high-value clients and projects.
    • Own transport and valid driver’s license.
    • Strong proficiency in relevant design and office tools.
    • Ability to manage long sales cycles and maintain client relationships.
