• N Dip: Security and Risk Management (Essential/Minimum)
• Private Security Ind Regulatory Aut GR A (Essential/Minimum)
• Certificate: Investigation (Essential/Minimum)
• Certificate First Line Management (Recommended/Desirable)
• B Degree (Relevant) (Recommended/Desirable)

EXPERIENCE:

• Name Proficiency Importance Involvement
• Relevant job-specific experience in policing environment 3-5 years Essential/Minimum Operational

REQUIREMENTS:

• Cert Incident Investigation (Essential/Minimum)
• Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
• Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
• Alcohol level Test Equip. blower & SD400 (Essential/Minimum)
• App as Deputy Explosives Magazine Master (Essential/Minimum)

Duties & Responsibilities    

The incumbent will inter alia be responsible for the following:

• Customer, Stakeholder and Client Relationship Management
• Render professional customer support services
• Communicate with clients/direct superior to share information on duties performed

Investigations and Procedures

• Conduct searches in terms of Criminal Procedure Act (51/1977/24)
• Arrest suspects in terms of Criminal Procedure Act {51/1977/42(3)}
• Investigate all reported cases of misconduct, initiate appropriate action, recommend preventative measures advise trends
• Report to Head Risk Control
• Seize exhibits for investigation purposes
• Conduct rigorous follow-up investigation with regards to cases with intrinsic value

Magazine Management

• Manage Magazine according to legal and regulatory requirements
• Develop, implement and maintain policy processes and procedures
• Ensure Security measures for the Magazine are adhered to in term of structure requirements, storage, Receiving and issuing and access
• Ensure administrative systems and stock control is maintained

Safe and Healthy Work Environment

• Maintain ensure a healthy environment, safe operations practices, ensure compliance with all applicable Safety Health and Environment (SHE) policies procedures in line with set standards
• Encourage a culture that focuses on safety in all operations

Specialised Support

• Develop maintain an effective information network
• Manage and supervise subordinates in Investigation Unit
• Conduct Primary and Secondary Security Risk Audits
• Establish maintain relations with South African Police Service (SAPS), Prosecutors Local authorities
• Recommend preventative measures advise trends
• Conduct after hour visits and do scheduled standby duties
• Contribute to cost savings by effective management of materials resources by adhering to prescribed operational requirements

Training Support

• Attend scheduled training sessions
• Attend firearm training and practical shoot exercises
