Senior JavaScript Engineer at RapidDeploy

Responsibilities

• Developing new user-facing features using React.js and JavaScript
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Skills

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Strong understanding of React.js and its core principles would be a bonus
• Experience in other popular JavaScript Frameworks such as Angular and Vuejs is a bonus
• Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript
• Experience with data structures (e.g. Immutable.js)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, Gulp etc.
• Experience creating and publishing NPM packages is a bonus
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Familiarity with development pipeline and release management tools
