Senior Librarian - Koeberg at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• B.Bibl/B.LIS or PG Dipl.LIS or B.Inf (Hons)
• At least four years’ public library experience, including supervisory experience
• Sound leadership and management abilities
• Successful candidates will be required to work evenings and on Saturdays on a roster basis
• Proven computer literacy in MS applications and enterprise resource planning i.e. SAP
• Experience and or knowledge in managing equipment  including IT
• Experience in managing operations within a library

Key Performance Areas

• Directing and reporting on the operation related issues  within the library
• Assisting with the provision of a comprehensive and  efficient library service to the community
• Assisting with managing all assets and equipment
• Supervising, training and developing staff
• Assisting with the development and management of  relationships and partnerships pertaining to the library
• Performing necessary administrative tasks
• Responsible for the marketing and advocacy of and within  the library
